Spend a day driving around Achill Island
Why do we love to travel? We travel in search of that feeling we get when we see something so beautiful it brings tears to our eyes. This was one of those moments. After driving through the clouds we came down the hill and were greeted with the most beautiful beach hidden by a blanket of mist. We spent the next hour enjoying this “secret beach” all to ourselves. Day 12: Sligo
Sligo is a tiny county that packs a lot of punch. Every where you look you’ll be surrounded by the majestic Benbulbin mountain and the Atlantic Ocean is much wilder than the more southern sections of Ireland in my opinion. I saw the biggest waves of my life sitting in Strandhill sipping a cup of coffee and sat far too long mesmerized by the ocean. Stay tuned for my post in the next few weeks on my favorite things to do in Sligo.

Go waterfall hunting on your way back from Gleniff Horseshoe.
Photography win: I don’t consider myself a photographer, but I do love learning about photography techniques. So when we stumbled across this waterfall last week I ran back to the car to get my tripod. I’ve tried this a few times before but it’s always been too bright to get the silky waterfall picture. I set up the camera, put it on the right setting, and stood back to watch the magic. My “remote control” is on my phone and when I looked down sure enough there was a silky waterfall!
